Venterra is celebrating National Mutt Day in a big way this year!
National Mutt Day, observed on July 31st and December 2nd each year, encourages us to embrace, save and celebrate mixed breed dogs. Millions of these pups are in shelters across the country waiting to find a loving home. In addition to providing you an opportunity to save the life of a furry friend, there are plenty of great reasons to adopt a mutt of your own.
From our Take Your Dog to Work Day perk to pet parties at our communities to our very own Bark Park Inspector to allowing three pets per apartment (as opposed to the two pet limit at most communities,) it’s no secret that we’re fans of the four-legged at Venterra. We saw National Mutt Day as a great opportunity to spread the love even further by making an impact on the lives of pets that haven’t yet found a human family to call their own. Animal shelters across the country are overflowing, and local Houston area shelters are especially in need of an increase in adoptions to help ease the strain.
With this and our Venterra Cares program in mind, we’re launching our second “Adopt a Pet” campaign leading up to National Mutt Day. To encourage our current and future Houston residents to adopt a new pet from a local shelter we’re waiving all upfront pet fees for any pet adopted between 7/20 & 7/31 at every community across our Houston region! We’re looking forward to seeing all the happy human and animal faces that will result from the campaign and sharing in the happy pet memories that are sure to follow in the years to come.
