Our Annual Leadership Conference is an awesome opportunity for our managers and corporate team to get together to learn, celebrate, mix, mingle, and have a blast! Each year we aim to strengthen and enrich the individuals charged with keeping the company spirit strong across the portfolio!
The 2017 Leadership Conference was held in Austin, TX where Experience Leaders had a chance to keep Austin weird! Some of the areas covered in speeches at the leadership conference this year included: U.S. economic trends, the importance of incremental growth and learning, environmental leadership, maintaining a culture of employee promotion, and 2017 developments on the horizon.
Keynote speaker, Eric Chester, got the crowd fired up with his take on creating employee engagement by creating alignment between employer and employee needs. Our Experience Leaders took home a signed copy of his book “On Fire at Work” along with a fresh perspective on how to put their teams first. Festivities at the conference also included our annual trade show, a “Keep Austin Weird Hipster Party,” prize giveaways, and breaks that included plenty of games and fun.
In keeping with the hipster theme, our 2016 “Of the Year” Maintenance and Community Managers Winners were gifted with a new pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses so they could look the part!
