Today is National Get to Know Your Customers Day!
To celebrate the day right, we wanted to share a few of the recent WOW Stories that we’ve had roll in that are great examples of not just taking the time to get to know our residents but putting that knowledge to work by creating some awesome moments for them, afterwards.
From Christi at Silverbrooke in Stafford, TX:
“Valerie has been a resident for about six months now and I’ve gotten to know her pretty well over that time. About six weeks ago we found off she was laid off from her job in the Oil & Gas Industry. Jessie, Frank, and I decided to WOW her with a brand new outfit for interviewing and we had the idea to reach out to another awesome resident, Brenda, a hairstylist who works at an upscale salon nearby. Brenda agreed that a complimentary cut and color could do wonders for someone in the job market. We surprised her with her goodies and she kept saying ‘you guys didn’t have to do that’ and started crying. I have no doubts this great lady will land the job she deserves!”
From Angela at The Hamptons in Nashville, TN:
“We play bingo every month at The Hamptons to win $100 off rent. Edward has played every month since 2014 and has yet to be a winner, so we decided to call his fiance to see what he is interested in. She let us know he is really into rock climbing, so the next day, we went to Climb Nashville and got Edward a gift card for a daily rock climb. When he came in and picked it up he was so grateful that we took the time to get him something he is passionate about!”
From Darlene at South Shore Lakes in League City, TX:
“Raisa and Kyle have been residents here since 2014 and are a sweet and fun-loving couple! We knew they were getting married, but when we found out the had planned a honeymoon week in St. Lucia five minutes after an onsite transfer with us from one apartment to another, we felt compelled to let them know they were in our thoughts after such a crazy weekend of getting married, moving, and then preparing to leave. We contacted the Sandals Resort in St. Lucia and arranged for a couple’s massage for them to indulge in. They were blown away when the card and gift arrived congratulating them from their Team at South Shore Lakes!”
We love having a chance to get to know the residents at our communities better every single day. Taking the time to build real relationships gives us the opportunity to WOW them with personalized, meaningful moments like these that are sure to stick with them for years to come. We can’t wait to see who has a surprise coming to them next!
