Our yearly Leadership Conference unites our Community Managers, Maintenance Managers, and other team leaders for an opportunity to gain knowledge, reflect on recent achievements, and enjoy an all-around great experience with one another! VLC is a chance for these critical team members to refine their leadership abilities so they can return to their communities and offices with new tools to help guide their crews to success.
Last year’s event was such a hit that we decided to hold our latest VLC event in The Woodlands, TX once again! Attendees soaked in insights from a variety of speakers, enjoyed plenty of networking, took part in facilitated peer learning, participated in valuable sessions with a focus on acting now to prepare for the future, and, of course, everyone had plenty of fun along the way!
The “Build for the Future” themed event included leadership lessons from our CEO, John Foresi, and our Chairman, Andrew Stewart, a session on the future of multifamily from our Executive Vice President of Property Operations and asset Management, Bryan George, a look at the economic trends shaping 2024 from our Chief Economist, Brian DePratto, and a fireside chat with CFO, Pamela Higdon & Director of Human Resources, Natassa Zervopoulos, on the topic of leveraging finance initiatives for future success.
In addition, our leaders heard from several additional keynote speakers. This year we enjoyed a “change mindset” workshop conducted by leadership and communications expert, Kevin Karschnik, a discussion on change from Flamin’ Hot Cheetos inventor, Richard Montanez, and we welcomed back to the VLC stage Diversity Crew keynote speaker and author, Chris Moreland, who discussed the importance of inclusion during times of change.
Beyond the insights gained from our Venterra Leadership Conference 2023 sessions, participants took home incredible memories from a range of fun activities during the three-day event. Attendees socialized over food and drinks at Bar Louie on day one, got competitive during a visit to Top Golf for our Leader Appreciation Night, and had a blast taking on lawn and giant game challengers outside the conference room in between sessions.
Need help the head manager mean and provides bad customer service and maintenance push residents. This property has high price and upscale. Manager abusive to assistant manager and lease consultant . One of good maintenance people walks a lot miles because other head maintenance people take two golf carts. I am resident. Then maintenance emergency doesn’t happen if no a/c or heat.
