But help is on the way for Venterra team members! We have partnered with Inside Rx Pets, a prescription savings program, to provide Venterra pet parents discounts on brand and generic human medications prescribed for pets at 40,000 participating retail pharmacies including CVS, the Kroger Family of Pharmacies, and Walgreens.
The Inside Rx Pets benefit is a prescription discount card administered by Inside Rx, LLC, which is a partially owned subsidiary of Express Scripts, leveraging purchasing power to expand affordable access to brand and generic human medications for pets. Based on Inside Rx data, over 50% of users can average savings of 15% off brands and 77% off generics on the human medications pets need.
We are providing this perk to our “pet parent” employees as a value-add support, with no cost or obligation. Venterra team members can use this benefit even if they are not enrolled in medical coverage through Venterra.
Employees can look up the current price of the prescriptions and find a local pharmacy online. After visiting a participating pharmacy with their prescription and showing their card to the pharmacist, they will be offered the Inside Rx Pets discounted price. Then, they just pay and enjoy the savings.
The Inside Rx Pets card can be used with valid prescriptions of human medications that pets need, written for animals by a veterinarian or another appropriately licensed care provider, at participating pharmacies that fill prescriptions for animals. There are no fees or costs, beyond what cardholders are paying for the prescription itself. Showing a prescription and the Inside Rx Pets card provides access to Inside Rx Pets’ lowest possible pricing on the medication.
