Venterra’s annual Leadership Conference brings together our Community Managers, Maintenance Managers, and other team leaders to learn, celebrate successes, and have a fantastic time! VLC is a great way for these individuals to hone their leadership skills and come back to their respective communities/offices with a fresh outlook on their role as an Experience Leader. After going virtual for VLC2021, our leaders were excited to be back together under the same roof for an in-person event this year!
Venterra Leadership Conference 2022, took place in The Woodlands, TX where attendees learned from engaging speakers, enjoyed networking opportunities, took part in facilitated peer learning, joined in on valuable sessions and development-focused content, and, naturally, had a ton of fun!
The “Engage, Connect, & Lead” themed event included leadership lessons from our CEO, John Foresi, Chairman, Andrew Stewart, Executive Vice President of Property Operations & Asset Management, Bryan George, and Diversity Crew keynote speaker and author, Chris Moreland, a session on team member development from our COO, Richard Roos, insights into the economy’s impact on effective leadership from our Director of Research and Market Analytics, Brian DePratto, a keynote speech on developing multidimensional careers from internationally bestselling author Julie Winkle Giulioni, lessons on coaching and planning from the Venterra Leadership & Development team, and an informal panel conversation covering a range of topics.
In addition to lessons learned from VLC2022 sessions, conference attendees also got to take home some amazing memories from other activities during the three-day event. Leaders mixed and mingled over food and drinks at Bar Louie after checking in on day one, showed off their swinging skills at Top Golf during our Leader Appreciation Night, and, thanks to a variety of lawn and giant games outside the conference room, had a chance to embrace their competitive side between sessions.
