As in year’s past, our 2018 Kick-Off Parties were a blast! In addition to having tons of surf-themed fun, hearing from our executive team, reflecting on everything 2017 had in store for us, and presenting our “Of the Region” and “Of the Year” employee winners, our 2017 “Grand Prize Winners” were revealed, as well. It was at the Houston Kick-Off event that Sally Flores learned she was our 2017 Better Living Grand Prize Winner!
Our Better Living Program encourages Venterra employees to set and reach for goals that are personally meaningul to them. Whether it’s getting in shape, spending more time with family, or giving back to their community, the goals we see set set are as unique as our employees themselves, and Sally’s story is a great example of what the program is all about.
She set a major goal and worked all year to achieve it! In January of 2017, her goal was to volunteer every month and give back to her community to counteract the negativity she was seeing in the world. She spread love and hope through service activities like packaging and serving meals for the homeless, sorting food bank donations, preparing for a Big Brothers Big Sisters graduation party, donating school supplies to an underprivileged high school and much, much more.
