It is important to us to make a positive impact in the world around us. We’ve raised more than $200,000 for Susan G. Komen, we incentivize employees to better themselves, and our Venterra Cares Program supports activities that enhance and serve the communities in which we live and work.
Employees are excited to have a paid volunteer day off work each calendar year under the program! We recognize that our employees have a set of passions that are as unique as they are so we’ve empowered employees to put their hearts into the causes that matter most to them by partnering with VolunteerMatch. This organization makes finding a local charity of their choice easy, so employees can find and engage in the causes and organizations that they find the most meaningful.
In addition to allowing employees the freedom to volunteer as they see fit, the Venterra Cares Program features four charitable organizations that we are supporting as an organization. We supported Susan G. Komen by donating our employees’ entry fees for the Race for the Cure. Habitat for Humanity is a great way for our people to dive deeper into providing a home for people in our community, and for our maintenance teams to show off their skills! Feeding America links our people with food banks in their area to not only assist around the holidays, but throughout the year. And we support Toys for Tots. Just as we’ll did for our food drives, our offices set up donation boxes to collect presents for children that may otherwise go without. So whether it’s an opportunity found through VolunteerMatch or support for one of our four featured organizations, we’re excited to extend our culture of caring into our communities.
