¡Viva México!
Friday, September 16th marks 206 years of Mexican independence from Spain and celebrations are happening all over the country to mark the occasion!
Also known as El Grito, Mexican Independence Day, not to be confused with Cinco de Mayo, is a celebration of the day Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, known as the father of Mexican independence, began the revolution that eventually led to Spain’s departure from the country.
