WESLEY’S STORY

I’ve been with Venterra since April 2013 when I joined the team at The Preserve at Old Dowlen. Prior to being hired on at Venterra I had received my Bachelor’s degree in Visual Design, my Real Estate Certification, my Texas Real Estate License, and had held executive level positions in real estate planning and development with firms in New York and Boston.  Although I had no background in maintenance when I came onboard at The Preserve, I accepted a maintenance position in order to begin my career with Venterra, with the goal of learning every aspect of the company and working my way through many roles, learning as much as possible along the way.

That year I received the Rising Star Award and was soon promoted to Assistant Manager at Forest View. The following year I was the recipient of the Rising Star Award for my efforts in that role. In November of 2014 I was promoted into the Community Manager role at The Ravinia. During my time as a Community Manager, Ravinia was received both the Property of the Region Award and the Customer Service Excellence Award. My successes in community operations, lead to my most recent promotion into the Transaction Manager role within the Acquisitions Team.

Three years later, I have gone from being an Assistant Maintenance Manager to an Assistant Manager to a Community Manager and now I’ve joined Venterra’s Acquisitions and Dispositions Group and am continuing to work towards earning my Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
