I started with Venterra 10 years ago. I came on board as an Assistant Community Manager upon the purchase of the 7th property that Venterra acquired. I was still relatively new to the industry with just over 2 years of experience and still had lots to learn. I grew a lot during the next 2 years learning Venterra’s systems and was mentored by a great leader, Lissa May. As an Assistant Community Manager, I was awarded Assistant Community Manager of the Year in 2004. I was then given the opportunity to manage my first community as Community Manager at College View. During my time at College View, I was awarded with a 4th quarter Team Player Award. It was becoming apparent that I had found my niche and that Venterra was the company that I would build my career with.
Over time I was promoted to larger communities and recognized with awards for Property of Year as well as Team Player and Financial Achievement awards. By gradually taking on more responsibilities, I was able to broaden my skill set and move into my current role as Regional Manager. Having witnessed the progression that Venterra has made over the years and to be a part of it all is exciting. Our advanced technology, intense focus on customer service, the drive to build great teams and invest time in our people, including myself, over the years has made us what we are today. There’s no place like Venterra!
