Giving Tuesday Has Gone Virtual!

While this year’s National Volunteer Week looked a little different than it did last year, our teams are still busy making the world a better place! The support they’re offering each other and feedback that has been shared from our prospects and residents is a testament to what working with care and compassion can do for those around us. On this Giving Tuesday, we’re so thankful for everything they are doing!

Our team members can still take advantage of their eight hours of paid Volunteer Time Off, so for employees who have the ability and interest in doing even more, we’ve encouraged them to participate in virtual volunteer opportunities. Our partnership with VolunteerMatch has continued to provide them with access to a list of virtual and on-site volunteer opportunities so they’re able to aid communities impacted by COVID-19. In celebration of Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement empowering people and organizations to transform communities and the world, we wanted to share additional resources we’ve provided to our teams and encourage you to give back virtually, too!

Whether it’s contributing your time and efforts to global efforts as a United Nations Volunteer or helping individuals in a moment of crisis by volunteering to assist the Crisis Text Line, you’re sure to find an option that speaks to your heart.

We’ll be back! Once it’s safe to do so, we can’t wait to get back out there and get hands-on supporting our communities. Our local non-profits will need our support more than ever, and we’ll be ready to give back in a big way as we did in 2019. In the meantime, if you have a volunteer opportunity that you think we should know about, leave us a comment below to tell us about it!
